The Central Oregon Critter Collective was born of a passion for wildlife and art. Studies have shown that scientists are more likely to have artistic hobbies than most. Mikayla and Jamie met when Mikayla was an intern and Jamie had already been working as a biologist for 7 years. We immediately hit it off! It wasn't until after Mikayla left the state and subsequently came back to work with Jamie that we discovered we both had not only a passion for wildlife (DUH), but also an intense love for art and creativity. Over time, we discovered so many of our friends and colleagues (who also work in scientific fields) ALSO have incredible artistic talent. We joked for a long time that we should form a collective to support and showcase each other's work. After an uptick in business and successful (and another unsuccessful) art show, we decided to make that dream a reality. Thus, we present to you: The Central Oregon Critter Collective!
